- Wash with hot water,strain and soak Foxtail millet.Add 5 bowls of water and soak.Soak for 3 hours.Soak urad dal and Chana dal for tempering.
- Chop all veggies,chop finely onions,tomato,carrots,french beans,peeled peas.
- Chop tomato,green coriander.
- Chopped veggies
- Roast peanuts on tawa till little brown and crush coarsely with Rolling pin.
- For preparation,Add oil and ghee in pan,add mustard seeds,splutter.Add chopped onions,saute till light golden brown,add curry leaves,add soaked Dal's and cover and cook.Cover and cook for few minutes.
- Cover and cook for few minutes till pulses are soft.
- Add carrots,beans cover and cook.Add green chillies,Cover and cook for few minutes.Add chopped tomatoes.
- Add peas,cover and cook for 5 minutes.Add all spices,salt, kashmiri chiili powder,pepper powder,hing,black pepper powder,haldi powder.Saute for a min.Add measured water kept in foxtail millet.When a boil comes add foxtail millet pearls and cover and cook for 28 min.
- Saute green pepper separately.
- Open the lid and check after 20 mins,it's abt to cook.Spice level can be adjusted accordingly.Serve hot garnished with roasted and crushed peanuts,grated carrot,lemon wedges.Add chopped green coriander and green pepper on the side.
