  2. Take 1/2 cup roasted gram dhal flour
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup brown sugar

  5. Get 2 tbsp pure honey
  6. Prepare 2 tbsp grated dry coconut

This is a very traditional laddu made during pongal time in Kongunad. It is very easy to make and nutritious evening snacks for kids. And also it is Vegan as we have not added ghee / clarified butter or milk.

Steps to make Foxtail Ladoo/ Thinai Ladoo:
  1. Heat the pan. Dry roast the roasted gram flour for 2mins and keep side. Wash the millet and dry roast till golden brown. Cool it and grind as fine powder. Sift the flour and keep side.
  2. Heat the pan with ghee and roast the cashew and dry coconut.
  3. Now mix all the roasted items and flour in mixing bowl. Add brown sugar and mix well. Finally add the honey and start preparing small balls. Add 1tbsp melted ghee if needed.
  4. Yummy, healthy and Organic Ladoo is ready. Happy cooking😊

It is very easy to make and nutritious evening snacks for kids. And also it is Vegan as we have not added ghee / clarified butter or milk. This laddu can be prepared with just two ingredients if you want to skip jaggery. Drain water and spread in a muslin cloth and let it dry under fan for half an hour. Dry roast until nice aroma arises.
