- Take 1 of 3 remaining cups of water and mix it with 1/3 cup of flour than stir. (Preferably while oxtails are cooking)
- After 2 hours remove pot from heat.
- Add potatoes, baby carrots flour mixture, oxtail seasoning mixture, remaining 2 cups of water, sugar, and hot sauce to large pot.
- Stir added ingredients in. Than cover pot.
- Cook for 1 Additional hour. Than remove from heat. Enjoy.
Rinse oxtails and dry well with paper towels. Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a large heavy stewing pot. Brown oxtail pieces in small batches, adding more oil to the pan between batches if necessary. Hold browned pieces on the side. Add the onions to the pot and brown slowly.
